Hunting in Manitoba, Canada and hidden away on a beautiful sandy point, nestled back in the spruce and birch, on a pristine secluded and remote lake, our Agassiz Outfitters Black Bear Lodge awaits for those who want to hunt and fish these untouched areas of beautiful Manitoba, Canada. When requested, guests of Agassiz Outfitters will be shown and experience a Manitoba Spring or Fall Black Bear Hunt of a lifetime and stay in our private cabins on a remote lake.
This camp sleeps up to 12 people. We have a separate main lodge/kitchen with screened in gazebo and deck overlooking lake, guide camp, electricity, toilets and shower building so this is far from roughing it. Also in our main lodge we have satellite TV/internet service for your convenience. Our cook will amaze you with the variety of home-cooked meals. The only problem our clients ever mention is the fact that they put on a few pounds during their hunt!
Even though we hunt remote wilderness areas, our Agassiz Outfitters Black Bear Hunting Lodge is easily accessible and our hunters can drive right to camp. Our hunting day starts in early afternoon when we take each hunter to his/her tree stand and/or ground blind using four-wheel drive pickups and all-terrain vehicles. Although we can accompany the hunter, most clients prefer to stay in the tree stand by themselves. We maintain contact with the hunters using portable radios. At dusk we pick up the hunters and start listening to the stories and hauling in the trophies. We get to hear great stories, believe me!
This area has produced some of the biggest black bears in the world and every year record book bears that qualify for the Manitoba Big Game Trophy Association and over 8 feet are taken. Also known for the tremendous amount of color bears in this area. Accessing baits is done primarily by boats, Argos, and quads. All guests for our Moose Hunts are responsible for getting themselves to Thompson, Manitoba; and report to the float base prior to departure and we take care of you from there.
Our remote, secluded Moose Camps are located approximately 1 hour north of Thompson, Manitoba via float plane.
All moose guests will stay in our very comfortable tent camps which have wood floors and wood heat to ensure you have an enjoyable stay/ hunt with us in Beautiful Northern Manitoba.
